With over 30 years of athletic experience and 16 years in the gym, Kristin (she/they) is the founder and head coach of Vitality Community Fitness, the leading queer-owned group fitness gym in the New Orleans metro area. Their mission is rooted in creating an inclusive, strength-first environment where all bodies can build muscle, gain confidence, and develop sustainable fitness habits without toxic intensity culture.

Working with Rxchel
Working with me will be the cross training sessions you didn’t know you needed. Together we’ll build a foundation for all of your fitness and movement goals, long or short term. Mobility and stability will be at the forefront of our work with necessary strengthening across modalities to keep things interesting. You can expect 1:1 attention with exercises plans and programs crafted for uniquely you.
Rachel is a lifelong movement practitioner with roots in dance, Pilates, and yoga. They have toured and performed with many dance and theatre companies nationally and internationally. Rachel’s handful of years as an amateur triathlete and passion for biomechanics and anatomy deeply informs their approach to working with clients one on one.

What is dry needling?
Dry needling is a technique used by healthcare providers use to treat musculoskeletal pain and movement issues. During this treatment, a provider inserts thin, sharp needles through your skin to treat underlying myofascial trigger points.
Dry needling helps increase blood flow, stimulating your nervous system for improved recovery, and decreasing tension in your muscles.
It can be beneficial for workout recovery, injury prevention or post-injury recovery. If you feel tight and achy in a certain joint or muscle after every workout or have a muscle that’s always tight you can inquire about if dry needling might be appropriate for you!

I came to see Dr. Curry when I was mid marathon training with some tightness in my groin and quad.
