In her words…

I needed some structure. Overall, I was feeling a little lost with where I was and where I wanted to be in my life. Physically, I would run a bit or do a random online workout, but I knew I had to have some more accountability if I really wanted to make some changes for myself. I had been looking around the area for a gym not really committing anywhere for awhile, but luckily enough, my friend invited me to a Saturday community workout. Kristen made me feel so welcome that I was able to get over my nerves and join officially.

I never expected to be lifting so regularly. Working out in my mind consisted of cardio usually because I had never worked with a barbell before and had no idea what to do. But every class the coaches explain exactly how to perform the movements, so I gradually gained the confidence needed to lift more and not be afraid to add more weight.

Without a doubt, I am the strongest I have ever been in my life. It’s nice to see some muscle coming in and using heavier weights compared to when I first started. There’s still a lot of room for growth, but I plan to keep showing up and being better about recovery with stretches.

I created a habit and fully incorporated exercise into my lifestyle regularly. My mental approach to fitness has been completely changed for the better and it is no longer a chore for me to go work out. It’s actually something I crave both for my physical and mental health. The structure I needed has led me to consistently wake up early for morning classes and have more energy every day.

In Coach Kristin’s Words…

Michelle has always exuded a cool, collected demeanor. Regardless of how challenging the workout, she always has the best attitude and gives it 110% every day. Every morning, Michelle comes in with a big smile on her face that lights up the room. Since day one, Michelle was determined to get stronger and better her form. I've seen her do just that over the past two years and it's been really impressive to watch. Michelle has recently been tightening up on her nutrition and learning how to find balance her diet through her lifestyle. She really exemplifies progress through consistency and patience. She has come such a long way and is continuing to thrive with Vitality. I love coaching her in the morning and watching her challenge herself with heavier weights and really crushing it in her form. I'm so proud of her.
